We do not run analytics, set tracking cookies, sell data, or build profiles. The site is a public news feed. Apart from your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, the only personal data the server sees is what your browser sends when it requests a page.
Standard server logs only. When you load a page, the hosting infrastructure records:
Logs are kept for up to 30 days for security and debugging, then deleted. They are not used for analytics or shared with third parties.
None. The site does not set any cookies and does not use local storage to identify or track visitors.
The site is hosted on infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Hetzner processes request data on our behalf as a technical provider.
If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you signed up, and when you confirmed. We use it only to send the newsletter and never share or sell it. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking the link in our confirmation mail — until then you receive nothing else. If you sign up before the first issue, your address waits, unused, until that confirmation mail goes out.
Mails are delivered by Twilio SendGrid (Twilio Inc., USA) as our processor, under a data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses. Open and click tracking are switched off: we do not know whether you opened a mail or which links you clicked.
Every mail has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time. We then stop sending immediately and delete the address on request.
We link to original sources, RSS feeds, and a Telegram channel. When you click through, that destination's privacy policy applies — not ours. Notably:
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We hold short-lived server logs and, if you subscribed, your newsletter address. To make a request, email the address on the imprint page.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the Telegram channel.
