
Munich-based robotics startup Microagi has raised $55 million in what is Germany's largest seed funding round to date. The round was led by VC firm Hummingbird, with participation from Northzone, LocalGlobe, Village Global, and Redalpine. Founded by former Formula 1 engineers, Microagi is developing humanoid robots by collecting data from factories and households. The funding underscores the urgency of investing in robot automation to bolster Europe's manufacturing sector. Microagi's CEO predicts that humanoid robots could perform routine tasks autonomously within a year.
